Eyeshield does the trick for Piccolo
8 November 2007
Three-year-old Piccolo Diamante was sent out with an important gear change at Kempton on November 7 and the son of Three Wonders made the most of his new eyeshield, scoring a head win over Drum Dance with Duke Of Milan a short head away third.
Ridden by Graham Gibbons in the TFM Networks Handicap (Class 6) (3yo+,0-52) 6f, it was the colt’s first win in eight career starts.
Travelling head groom Kate Bradley confirmed the headgear made all the difference.
She said: "We've worked him at home in the pacifiers the last few days and they made a huge difference, they settle him down and we're thrilled with the win."
