Fast Freddie steps up a gear at Wolverhampton

Fast Freddie showed how much he appreciated a short break as well as the addition of an eye-shield, when coming home a comfortable winner at Wolverhampton on Tuesday in the Book A Christmas Break At Pontin's Handicap (Div I) (Class 6) (3yo+,0-52) 6F.

Well supported Fast Freddie (Francis Norton) never gave his backers a moment’s concern when sprinting home in the six-furlong event to score a length and three quarter win over Grand Palace (Dean McKeown), with Mister Always (Daniel Tudhope) in third place a further three quarters of a length away.

Owned and raced by Gordon Crawford, three-year-old Fast Freddie is by Agnes World from Bella Chica, and this was just his sixth career start on the All Weather with the win adding to his previous second and third.

The win will give him plenty of confidence and he is sure to be adding more wins to his name as he gains further experience.
